Job Requirements
- Previous hotel or resort experience required or similar previous position in management
- luxury hotel or resort experience preferred
- experience with Forbes Travel Guide standards preferred
- ability to work weekends and holidays with flexible work schedule
- ability to stand or walk for up to 10 hours per shift
- valid work authorization for the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- Ability to manage, coach, counsel hourly staff in the Front Office department
- previous hotel or resort experience required or similar previous position in management
- luxury hotel or resort experience preferred
- experience with Forbes Travel Guide standards preferred
- ability to work weekends and holidays with flexible work schedule
- ability to stand or walk for up to 10 hours per shift
Job Duties
- Manages the staff at the Front Desk & Overnight Team
- serves as manager on duty and point of contact during overnight shifts
- interviews, trains and schedules the staff and conducts performance evaluations and disciplines staff when needed
- coordinates arrivals, departures and billing requirements with Sales and Catering Department
- blocks rooms for arrivals and ensures any discrepancies are resolved
- reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups
- assures that all financial and credit procedures are followed
- takes action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of hotel guests and employees when senior managers are not available
