Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar logistics role
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of trucking regulations
Proficient in dispatching software
Ability to work overnight shifts
Ability to multitask and work under pressure

Job Duties

Route planning to develop and optimize delivery routes
Maintain constant communication with drivers to provide updates and address issues
Quickly resolve challenges such as delays, detours, or mechanical problems
Keep accurate documentation of shipments including delivery times and incidents
Interact with customers to provide delivery updates and handle inquiries
Collaborate with logistics, maintenance, and customer service departments to streamline operations
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations
