Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-6 months progressive work experience typically in building and grounds maintenance or 1-2 years progressive work experience typically in building and grounds in substitution
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate large complex cleaning and grounds maintenance equipment
- Must be able to drive vehicles
- Exposure to hazardous materials, chemicals, and bio-hazards
- Pass background check
- Availability to work full-time night shifts Monday through Friday
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-6 months of progressive work experience typically in building and grounds maintenance
- Knowledge of materials, supplies, equipment, and methods of technical cleaning and maintenance
- Knowledge of power and manual tools
- Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations
- Ability to operate large cleaning equipment and move furniture
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures
Job Duties
- Responsible for general cleaning including vacuuming floors and furniture
- Emptying trash and recycling containers
- Dusting, mopping, sanitizing, washing windows and mirrors
- Cleaning and stocking restrooms, bathrooms, and offices
- Learn where custodial supplies are kept and replenish supplies when needed
- Observe and identify areas that need repair and submit information to the supervisor
- Comply with state and federal policies such as OSHA and EPA
- Operate and maintain equipment including hand and shop tools
- Move furniture and set up conference rooms for meetings and events
- Perform designated watchman rounds to ensure security and safety, check building systems for proper function, and update security logs
- Perform chemical renovations
- Monitor fire protection systems
