Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience in fast hot and cold environments
  • Hold a current Food Handler Card or in the process of being certified
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel
  • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift
  • Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations
  • Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary
  • Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook hot menu items quickly and accurately according to recipes and specifications
  • Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment efficiently
  • Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures and plated with consistency
  • Work swiftly to keep up with high-demand service times
  • Maintain proper station setup, ensuring all ingredients and tools are stocked
  • Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times
  • Store food properly and check freshness to prevent waste
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely order completion
  • Take direction from chefs and supervisors while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Adapt to changing demands and special requests from customers
