Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year of hotel or related experience preferred
- knowledge of basic arithmetic functions
- ability to work overnight shifts
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and employees
- willingness to cross train in accounting or hotel operations
- flexibility to work long hours sometimes
- ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
- maintain high personal appearance standards
- comply with company safety and operation policies
- must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally
- maintain confidentiality of information
- effective problem identification and resolution
- initiative to anticipate guest and operational needs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- guest service experience preferred
- computer knowledge and skills
- ability to work flexible and long hours including overnight shifts
- strong communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to multitask and prioritize
- effective problem-solving skills
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- willingness to cross train in other hotel-related areas
- friendly and courteous demeanor
- attendance at required meetings and trainings
- adherence to company standards and regulations
Job Duties
- Auditing and reconciling financial and cashier transactions
- preparing and distributing daily and month-end management reports
- ensuring accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions
- performing guest service duties including check-in, check-out, reservations and switchboard operation
- communicating operational or financial concerns to management promptly
- auditing credit card transactions and consolidating reports
- maintaining accurate financial data entry into corporate systems
- responding to governmental inquiries as required
- prioritizing job functions to meet deadlines
- ensuring overall guest satisfaction
