Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to speak, read, and understand English
- Must have open availability for overnight shifts (11pm to 7am), including holidays and weekends
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in reservation and billing systems
Job Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English
- Experience with Opera/Marriott systems a plus
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of hotel operations and front desk procedures
Job Duties
- Assists all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, and whenever possible, going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction
- Registers and processes guests promptly upon arrival and departure, to ensure guest satisfaction
- Verifies that all charges to guest accounts made during the day are correct, and posts room charges so all guest accounts are current and in balance by the designated time
- Demonstrates knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel and the local area, effectively assisting guests
- Completes all credit card transmittals, direct bills, and no-show billings for the day
- Prepares all daily, monthly and yearly reports required by the property
- Uses sales techniques to effectively sell the property, maximizing occupancy and average rate
- Receives and processes telephone and walk-in reservations accurately ensuring guest satisfaction
- Operates the telephone system professionally and competently according to brand standards
- Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for associates and guests
- Keeps immediate supervisor informed of problems or unusual matters needing corrective action
- Responsible for check-in, checkout, selling skills, computer operation, telephones, tasks at the front desk
- Must be available during the overnight shift and part-time hours up to 30 hours per week
