Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- prior hospitality experience preferred
- strong English communication skills
- proficient computer skills
- ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations accurately
- ability to remain calm under pressure
- willingness to work varying schedules
- good physical stamina
- compliance with company rules and standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- college experience preferred
- prior hospitality experience preferred
- ability to use a calculator for moderately complex calculations
- effective communication skills in English both verbally and in writing
- ability to use moderately complex computer systems
- ability to stand and move throughout the front office area
- visual and hearing ability to detect emergency situations
- aptitude for dealing with customers tactfully and patiently
Job Duties
- Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome
- complete the registration process including inputting and retrieving information from a computer system
- confirm guest information such as number of guests, length of stay, and room rate
- code electronic room keys
- provide welcome folders with room keys and coupons
- handle payment transactions including credit card verification, cash handling, and posting charges
- complete checkout process including closing guest accounts and ensuring satisfaction
- promptly answer telephone calls and manage messages
- field guest complaints and negotiate resolutions
- remain calm during emergencies and heavy activity
- summon bell service assistance
- provide safety deposit box services
- operate fax machine and photocopier
- perform duties in other guest service areas as assigned
