Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of prior front desk or night audit experience
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • customer service oriented
  • ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision
  • knowledge of arithmetic
  • ability to input data accurately and use hotel management software
  • must read, write, and understand English
  • maintain composure and positive attitude
  • ability to follow safety and security procedures
  • willing to travel as needed
  • availability to work Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm with some weekend or holiday shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of front desk or night audit experience
  • advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • experience with hotel management systems such as OPERA preferred
  • ability to type at least 50 words per minute
  • excellent communication skills
  • hospitality-oriented mindset
  • ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • basic knowledge of arithmetic
  • bilingual fluency a plus
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

Job Duties

  • Register guests
  • make and modify reservations
  • assist with hotel operator and concierge duties as needed
  • maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, and room availability
  • process guest check-in and check-out
  • maintain guest history files
  • resolve guest complaints
  • process end of day reports
  • maintain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of monies
  • communicate with prior shift staff
  • maintain organized and clean work area
  • answer department telephone professionally
