Job Requirements

  • Ability to work independently
  • Availability for overnight shifts
  • Basic math and accounting skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • No supervisory experience required

  • Basic accounting and cash handling skills
  • Proficiency in using electronic key machines and telephone switchboards

Job Duties

  • Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and rolling the date
  • Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit
  • Process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges
  • Print contingency lists for emergency guest records
  • Sell rooms/accommodations to guests without reservations based on availability
  • Operate telephone switchboard station, process wake-up calls, and inform guests of messages
  • Complete the Room Rate Variance Report
  • Process all guest check-ins and assign rooms
  • Activate or reissue room keys using electronic key machine
  • Count and secure bank at shift end
  • Balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas, inspecting cleanliness and presentation
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager
  • Follow company policies and procedures, maintain professional appearance, protect company assets
  • Welcome and assist guests, anticipate service needs, support individuals with disabilities
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, answer telephones with appropriate etiquette
  • Develop positive working relationships and support team goals
  • Comply with quality assurance standards
  • Physically handle objects up to 25 pounds
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors
