Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • knowledge of accounting principles
  • proficiency in Windows operating systems and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • ability to problem solve and troubleshoot guest issues and emergency situations
  • ability to convey information clearly
  • ability to evaluate options quickly and accurately
  • ability to work well in stressful, high pressure situations
  • ability to handle workplace problems including anticipating, preventing, and solving
  • ability to assimilate complex data and adjust as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • college coursework in related field helpful
  • previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • knowledge of accounting principles

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion Hospitality standards
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • comply at all times with Avion Hospitality standards and regulations
  • maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • initiate and complete the End of Day process
  • run all reports as required for Food and Beverage audit
  • complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily
  • balance the day's work including movie revenue, telephone postings, valet laundry, server's and desk agent's paperwork
  • maintain cashiering responsibilities as per Front Office procedures according to Avion Hospitality standards
  • maintain Front Office computer system operation according to Avion Hospitality standards
  • fulfill all Front Office functions between 11 pm and 7 am
  • follow up to ensure periodic checks by the Midnight House Attendant
  • handle and follow through on all guest requests from 11 pm to 7 am
  • follow safety and emergency procedures according to standards
  • maintain proper record keeping
  • be familiar with all Avion Hospitality's policies and house rules
  • complete initial direct bills daily and place on Property Accountant's desk
  • maintain radio contact with other associates during the shift
  • have working knowledge of security procedures
  • ensure associates are attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous
  • prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report
  • transfer the master or house accounts as necessary
  • distribute work as directed by Standard Operating Procedures
  • train new Night Auditors
  • run morning reports
  • assign delivery of newspapers and Express Check-Outs
  • follow up on nightly walk-through including removal of room service trays and straightening pool area
  • handle Lost and Found items
  • complete reports as requested by management
  • complete miscellaneous duties such as resetting Food and Beverage POS, distributing credit Watch List, and preparing daily revenue summary
  • assist guests with food orders and serve food and beverage items as applicable
  • attend meetings as required
  • perform other duties as requested by management
