Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations
  • clear and pleasant communication skills in English
  • ability to provide legible communication and directions
  • ability to input and access data in computer systems
  • ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
  • ability to maintain confidentiality of guests and hotel information
  • ability to focus on guest needs
  • ability to work cohesively with other departments
  • ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate
  • some college or hospitality training preferred
  • previous front office receptionist experience preferred
  • cashiering experience preferred
  • knowledge of computers
  • fluency in Spanish, French, or Japanese preferred
  • previous auditing or statistician experience preferred
  • strong mathematical skills
  • clear and pleasant communication in English
  • ability to provide legible written communication

Job Duties

  • Check in and check out guests courteously and efficiently
  • process all payments according to hotel requirements
  • provide information to guests and visitors
  • maintain guest history files
  • handle VIP arrivals and communicate pertinent guest information
  • compile and run timely accurate reports
  • maintain hotel computer systems
  • answer and relay telephone messages
  • accommodate guest requests and complaints courteously
  • perform audit report procedures and cash handling
  • coordinate with hotel departments for guest services
  • assist with reservations and concierge functions as needed
  • maintain security and confidentiality of guest information
  • support smooth front office operations by following established policies and procedures
