Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • less than 1-year related work experience
  • no supervisory experience
  • ability to work overnight shifts
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects up to 25 pounds
  • follow company policies and procedures
  • maintain confidentiality
  • provide professional appearance and behavior

Job Duties

  • complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts
  • run night audit backup and roll the date
  • process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit
  • process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges
  • print contingency lists for emergency records
  • sell rooms or accommodations to guests without reservations based on availability
  • operate telephone switchboard, process wake-up calls, and manage guest messages
  • complete the Room Rate Variance Report
  • process guest check-ins and assign rooms
  • activate or reissue room keys using electronic key machines
  • count and secure bank at end of shift
  • balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications
  • set up, stock, and maintain work areas
  • inspect cleanliness and presentation of materials
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager
  • follow company policies and maintain professional appearance
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • welcome guests according to company standards
  • assist individuals with disabilities
  • use clear and professional language
  • answer telephones with appropriate etiquette
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • support team goals
  • comply with quality assurance standards
  • perform physical activities such as lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods
  • perform other reasonable job duties as assigned
