Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three months experience in bookkeeping, auditing, or general accounting
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles including reconciling accounts receivable
  • Ability to work overnight shifts
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Capacity to serve as Manager on Duty when required
  • Ability to operate bookkeeping and calculating machines

Job Qualifications

  • At least three months experience as a bookkeeper, auditor, or in general accounting
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciling accounts receivable
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities simultaneously
  • Leadership abilities to manage front office operations when needed
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with bookkeeping tools
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Verify and balance entries and records of financial transactions reported by hotel departments daily
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts and summary sheets of all hotel departments
  • Occasionally work the front desk to welcome guests and provide assistance
  • Serve as Manager on Duty and oversee front office operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager
  • Ensure accuracy of charges posted to guest folios
  • Use bookkeeping and calculating machines for financial reconciliation
  • Maintain outstanding guest service during the overnight shift
