Job Duties
- Register guests
- Make reservations
- Prepare daily reports
- Balance transactions
- Conduct security walks
- Initiate and complete the End of Day process
- Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures
- Balance miscellaneous revenue including telephone postings, valet laundry, server and desk agent paperwork
- Prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report as needed
- Transfer master or house accounts as necessary
- Run morning reports according to MCR and Brand procedures
- Complete management-requested reports timely
- Provide courteous and efficient guest service
- Maintain operation of the telephone switchboard
- Answer guest inquiries about hotel services and facilities
- Establish and maintain communication and teamwork with associates and departments
- Assist with breakfast setup in select hotels
- Respond to guest requests professionally and promptly
- Maintain confidentiality and security of guest and hotel information
- Document and notify management of guest requests, complaints, or problems
- Be knowledgeable of rates, packages, promotions, in-house groups, and restricted dates
- Take accurate reservations following rate quoting scenarios
- Be proficient with the front desk computer system
- Log and deliver packages, mail, and messages
- Be familiar with property amenities, local events, and attractions
- Accurately complete check-in and checkout
- Use brand standard service tools to address guest objections
- Restock front desk supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned
