Job Requirements

  • High school diploma at minimum
  • three or more years hotel operations experience preferred
  • developed English reading and writing skills
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • developed reasoning ability
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic operations
  • ability to read and interpret business and statistical reports
  • proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Office 365, Outlook
  • ability to work effectively under stress
  • ability to communicate well with others
  • ability to handle frequent activity changes and interruptions
  • physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds
  • knowledge of hotel policies and emergency procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred
  • three or more years of hotel operations experience preferred
  • proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Office 365, Outlook
  • excellent written and spoken English skills
  • ability to interpret documents in English
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • ability to speak effectively with customers and employees
  • strong reasoning and mathematical skills
  • knowledge of hotel emergency policies and procedures
  • ability to use company-issued software proficiently

Job Duties

  • Completes posting of all charges
  • receives and records guest payments
  • reconciles all departments to X reading of register by retaping all department vouchers
  • prepares revenue report including all day rates
  • posts room, tax, and local calls charges for the day
  • completes D card with Z readings and adjustment explanations
  • completes high balance credit report and provides to management
  • prepares Housekeeper's Report by 7 a.m. listing room status
  • reconciles Banquet Department using banquet bills
  • prepares cash only list for restaurant and lounge
  • assigns rooms courteously and efficiently to incoming guests
  • maintains daily walk-in reservation count sheet
  • follows courtesy rules on phone calls
  • records and makes all wake-up calls properly
  • provides courteous information to guests
  • knows emergency policies and procedures
  • completes night audit by 7 a.m. shift change
  • handles internal control items per hotel policies
  • ensures all required reports and vouchers are on General Manager's desk for approval
