Job Qualifications
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues without constant supervision
- Previous experience in similar job role
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors
- Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism
- The team member is required to perform all necessary duties of the job
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Embody the shared values of Hotel Drover
- Ability to manage multiple functions and deliver results in a demanding, fast paced environment
- Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders while acting as an extension of the Hotel Drover brand
- Always maintain a professional and high-quality service-oriented environment
- Audit, balance, and report all food and beverage outlet sales/receipts
- Separate and properly log all receipts for cash, credit card, promotional, or guest room charges
- Run system reports to track adjustments, paid outs, billing, cash over/short, deposits, taxes, disputes, and transaction corrections
- Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and provide them with any information they need for their stay
- Respond to guest complaints, requests, and emergencies
- Reconcile all house accounts to ensure balance
- Enter information into accounting journal sheets to ensure balance of accounts
- Run night audit reports, ensuring that room and tax is properly posted for in-house guests
- Schedule wake-up calls and reservations for the following day
- Respond to guest inquiries, concerns and complaints as needed
- Answer phones and place reservations
- Run n-show reports and charge guests accordingly
- Post advance deposits for future bookings
- Pre-assign rooms for the following day based on occupancy
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
