Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year of progressive experience in hotel or related field
  • computer knowledge and skills
  • flexible to work long and overnight shifts
  • able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
  • maintain warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • maintain regular attendance
  • adhere to personal appearance and grooming standards including uniform
  • comply with hotel standards and regulations
  • effective problem handling and solution implementation
  • able to maintain confidentiality
  • show initiative anticipating guest or operational needs
  • attend all hotel required meetings and trainings

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year of progressive experience in hotel or related field
  • guest service experience preferred
  • computer knowledge and skills
  • ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all levels
  • ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • ability to listen to and clarify concerns
  • maintain warm, friendly, courteous and service-oriented demeanor
  • effective problem-solving skills
  • ability to understand and apply complex information

  • willingness to cross-train in other hotel related areas

Job Duties

  • Audit and reconcile all hotel cashier transactions
  • review, organize and compile management reports on a timely basis
  • ensure accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions
  • perform guest service agent duties including check-in, check-out, switchboard operation and reservations
  • prepare and distribute daily operating and tax reports
  • audit and reconcile front desk and food and beverage cashier work
  • consolidate and transmit credit card transactions timely
  • input and update financial information into corporate communication networks
  • perform daily, weekly, monthly and annual data processing functions
  • communicate concerns or issues to all levels of management
  • handle guest requests and respond to governmental inquiries
  • prioritize job functions to meet deadlines
  • ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • maintain confidentiality of information
  • cross-train in other accounting or hotel-related areas
