Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field required
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • college coursework in related field helpful
  • previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly to move objects
  • quick and accurate decision-making
  • ability to work well under stressful, high pressure situations
  • effective at handling workplace problems including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving issues
  • ability to assimilate complex information and adjust to meet needs
  • self-managed work capability
  • problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve guest issues
  • proficiency in Windows operating systems, company approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • effective listening, understanding and clarifying skills
  • ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing proper uniform and name tag
  • comply at all times with Mid-Continent Hospitality standards and regulations
  • maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • initiate and complete the End of Day process
  • run all reports as required for Food and Beverage audit
  • complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily
  • balance the day's work including movie revenue, telephone postings, valet laundry, server's and desk agent's paperwork
  • maintain cashiering responsibilities as per Front Office procedures
  • maintain Front Office computer system operation
  • fulfill all Front Office functions between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am
  • handle and follow through on all guest requests during the shift
  • follow safety and emergency procedures
  • maintain proper record keeping including log books
  • be familiar with all company policies and house rules
  • complete initial direct bills daily and place on the Controller's desk
  • maintain radio contact with Security and other employees
  • have working knowledge of security procedures
  • prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report
  • transfer master or house accounts as necessary
  • ensure employees remain attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous
  • maintain compliance with all company policies
  • perform related duties as assigned by management
