Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with hotel front desk operations or night audit preferred
- Ability to work overnight shifts from 11pm to 7am
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and detail-oriented work ethic
- Ability to stand and move throughout the front office during shifts
- Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds
- Ability to twist, bend, stoop, reach, stand and walk as needed
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Fluent in English
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of accounting operations to include all aspects such as accounts receivable accounts payable, ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner, ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer, ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to understand and communicate with employees and guests, must have excellent telephone etiquette skills, hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations
Job Duties
- Prepare daily restaurant revenue report data by auditing micros tapes/journals to breakdown revenue, covers, servers tips paid out and settlements by type and cashier
- Run audit reports/journals
- Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout their shift
- Input onto the PC revenue/expenses/allowances to generate the daily reports such as the guest ledger summary and the daily restaurant summary
- Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations
- Ensure all reports and back-up vouchers are complete and filed properly
- Review and correct discrepancies in the front desk system
- Coordinate with the front desk and restaurants/bars closing to facilitate a smooth operation of file maintenance and reset of system totals for next day operations
- Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome, use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information such as outlet hours and local attractions
- Perform any related duties as requested by supervisor/manager
