Job Requirements

  • at least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • college course work in related field helpful
  • previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
  • able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • able to work well in stressful, high pressure situations
  • effective in handling workplace problems including anticipation, prevention, identification and solving
  • ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources
  • able to work in a self-managed environment
  • ability to problem solve and troubleshoot guest issues and respond to emergency situations
  • proficient in Windows operating systems and company approved software
  • effective at listening, understanding and clarifying concerns raised by co-workers and guests
  • able to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • college coursework in related field helpful
  • previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • proficiency in Windows operating systems
  • skilled in company approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • effective listening and communication skills
  • ability to work well in stressful, high pressure situations
  • ability to problem solve and troubleshoot guest issues
  • maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • knowledge of safety and emergency procedures

Job Duties

  • register guests
  • make reservations
  • prepare daily audit reports
  • balance daily transactions including revenue and paperwork
  • maintain front desk operations overnight
  • initiate and complete End of Day processes
  • run reports for Food and Beverage audits
  • complete Night Audit checklist daily
  • maintain cashiering responsibilities
  • maintain front office computer system operation
  • handle guest requests during shift
  • follow safety and emergency procedures
  • maintain proper record keeping and log books
  • complete initial direct bills and place on Controller's desk
  • maintain radio contact with security and employees
  • have working knowledge of security procedures
  • prepare and distribute Daily Flash Report
  • transfer master or house accounts as necessary
  • ensure employees remain attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous
  • maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
  • perform related duties as assigned by management
