Job Duties

  • Register guests
  • Make reservations
  • Prepare daily reports
  • Balance financial transactions including miscellaneous revenue and telephone postings
  • Conduct security walks
  • Initiate and complete the End of Day process
  • Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures
  • Prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report
  • Transfer master or house accounts as necessary
  • Run morning reports according to company and brand procedures
  • Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient guest service
  • Maintain proper telephone switchboard operations
  • Answer guest inquiries about hotel service and facilities
  • Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with hotel departments
  • Assist with breakfast setup when applicable
  • Respond to guest requests professionally and timely
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of guests and hotel information
  • Document guest complaints or problems and ensure resolution
  • Be familiar with rates, packages, and special promotions
  • Manage room reservations accurately
  • Log and deliver packages and messages
  • Utilize creative problem solving to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Restock front desk supplies
  • Perform other assigned duties
