Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of experience in hotel or related field
  • knowledge of accounting principles
  • proficiency in computer skills including Windows OS and MS Office
  • strong communication skills

  • knowledge of hotel safety and emergency procedures
  • ability to maintain composure
  • able to work overnight shifts from 11 pm to 7 am
  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • college coursework in related field helpful

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly service-oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with Hyatt standards as required by scheduling
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing the proper uniform and name tag
  • comply at all times with Hyatt standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
  • initiate and complete the End of Day process
  • run all reports as required for Food and Beverage audit
  • complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily
  • balance the day’s work including movie revenue, telephone postings, valet, laundry, server’s and desk agent’s paperwork
  • maintain cashiering responsibilities as per Front Office procedures according to Hyatt standards
  • maintain Front Office computer system operation according to Hyatt standards
  • fulfill all Front Office functions between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • follow up to ensure periodic checks by the Midnight House Attendant of building and guest corridors
  • handle and follow through on all guest requests
  • follow safety and emergency procedures according to Hyatt standards
  • maintain proper record keeping according to Hyatt standards
  • be familiar with all Hyatt's policies and house rules
  • complete the initial direct bills daily and place on the Property Accountant’s desk attaching all folio/banquet check back-up
  • maintain radio contact with other associates during the entire shift
  • have a working knowledge of security procedures
  • ensure associates are attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests and colleagues
  • prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report
  • transfer master or house accounts as necessary
  • distribute work as directed by SOP’s
  • train any new Night Auditors as requested
  • run morning reports according to Hyatt procedures
  • assign delivery of newspapers and Express Check-Outs
  • ensure nightly walk-through includes removal of room service trays and straightening of pool and Jacuzzi area
  • handle items for Lost & Found according to standards
  • complete reports as requested by management
  • perform miscellaneous duties such as resetting Food and Beverage POS and distributing credit Watch List
  • assist guests with food orders and serve food and beverage items when applicable
  • attend meetings as required by management
  • perform any other duties requested by management
