Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Ability to work flexible and long hours, including late and overnight shifts
- Sedentary work involving occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds
- Effective communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
- Ability to multitask and prioritize functions
- Willingness to cross train in other accounting or hotel-related areas
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Ability to handle problems proactively
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Compliance with Highgate Hotel standards and regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Guest service experience preferred
- Proficient computer knowledge and skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Approach all encounters with an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- High standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to show initiative and anticipate guest or operational needs
Job Duties
- Reconcile all hotel cashier transactions
- Review, organize and compile management reports on time
- Ensure accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions
- Perform guest service agent duties including check-in, check-out, switchboard operation and reservations
- Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports
- Prepare and distribute daily and month-end reports
- Communicate concerns to management and handle guest requests
- Respond to governmental inquiries
- Input and update financial information into corporate network
- Attend all required meetings and trainings
