Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • Ability to work flexible and long hours, including late and overnight shifts
  • Sedentary work involving occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize functions
  • Willingness to cross train in other accounting or hotel-related areas
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Ability to handle problems proactively
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Compliance with Highgate Hotel standards and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • Guest service experience preferred
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Approach all encounters with an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • High standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to show initiative and anticipate guest or operational needs

Job Duties

  • Reconcile all hotel cashier transactions
  • Review, organize and compile management reports on time
  • Ensure accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions
  • Perform guest service agent duties including check-in, check-out, switchboard operation and reservations
  • Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports
  • Prepare and distribute daily and month-end reports
  • Communicate concerns to management and handle guest requests
  • Respond to governmental inquiries
  • Input and update financial information into corporate network
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings
