Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hotel front desk or auditing preferred
  • Ability to work night shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Basic knowledge of hotel reservation and accounting systems
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions securely

Job Duties

  • Balance credit cards to the posting location summaries and transmit credit cards nightly
  • Balance and audit room and telephone revenue and tax charges for accuracy
  • Open, secure, and balance out daily shift bank including counting and verifying cash, check, and credit card transactions
  • Perform required reservation system back-ups during the night audit shift
  • Perform check-ins, checkouts, and room change procedures professionally
  • Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms including VIPs, repeat guests, packages, and special requests
  • Attend to guest complaints, inquiries, and requests and refer unresolved issues to supervisor
  • Communicate with other hotel departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and provide information
  • Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests and meeting rooms
  • Tag and secure luggage in the absence of Bell Person and provide luggage claim tickets to guests
  • Coordinate hotel guest requests with other departments for optimal guest satisfaction
