Job Duties
- Registering guests
- making reservations
- preparing daily reports
- balancing transactions
- conducting security walks
- initiating and completing the End of Day process
- completing the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures
- balancing the day’s work including miscellaneous revenue and paperwork
- preparing and distributing the Daily Flash Report
- transferring master or house accounts
- running morning reports
- completing management requested reports
- providing attentive, courteous, and efficient guest service
- maintaining telephone switchboard operation
- answering guest inquiries
- establishing and maintaining communication and teamwork with associates and departments
- assisting with breakfast setup
- responding to guest requests promptly
- maintaining confidentiality and security of information
- documenting guest requests, complaints, or problems and notifying appropriate departments
- being aware of rates and promotions
- being familiar with in-house groups and restricted dates
- taking accurate reservation information
- being knowledgeable of the front desk computer system
- logging and delivering packages and messages
- being knowledgeable of property, amenities, and local attractions
- accurately completing check-in and checkout processes
- using creative reasoning and standard service tools to address guest concerns
- restocking front desk supplies
- performing other assigned duties
