- relevant experience in hospitality or hotel front desk operations preferred
- ability to work night shifts
- excellent communication skills
- proficiency with computer systems and point of sale software
- strong organizational skills
- ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- commitment to maintaining confidentiality and security
- availability to work weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in hotel front desk or night audit roles preferred
- proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office
- strong numerical and analytical skills
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to multitask and work independently during night shifts
- knowledge of hotel emergency procedures
- attention to detail and accuracy
- ability to handle cash and financial transactions securely
- flexibility to work overnight hours
Job Duties
- Verify each Front Desk shift's transactions
- process credit card transactions
- post tax charges to all guest folios
- finalize transactions completed during the day
- create and/or print required reports
- file or transmit reports as directed
- prepare folios for departing guests
- handle hotel phone system, transfer calls, take messages
- take, modify and cancel guest reservations
- verify, balance and review hotel suite availability
- check in/out guests
- perform express checkout duties
- verify departure dates and offer to make future reservations
- post telephone charges, valet charges, and other miscellaneous charges to guest accounts
- administer guest payment policies
- manage shift cash transactions
- maintain hotel key security system
- administer guest safe deposit boxes
- know hotel emergency procedures
- coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests
- communicate facilities and services to guests at check-in
- answer guest questions regarding local area facilities
- notify Housekeeping and Maintenance of any reported problems
- carry out reasonable requests by management
