Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • relevant experience in hospitality or hotel front desk operations preferred
  • ability to work night shifts
  • excellent communication skills
  • proficiency with computer systems and point of sale software
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • commitment to maintaining confidentiality and security
  • availability to work weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in hotel front desk or night audit roles preferred
  • proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office
  • strong numerical and analytical skills
  • excellent customer service and communication skills
  • ability to multitask and work independently during night shifts
  • knowledge of hotel emergency procedures
  • attention to detail and accuracy
  • ability to handle cash and financial transactions securely
  • flexibility to work overnight hours

Job Duties

  • Verify each Front Desk shift's transactions
  • process credit card transactions
  • post tax charges to all guest folios
  • finalize transactions completed during the day
  • create and/or print required reports
  • file or transmit reports as directed
  • prepare folios for departing guests
  • handle hotel phone system, transfer calls, take messages
  • take, modify and cancel guest reservations
  • verify, balance and review hotel suite availability
  • check in/out guests
  • perform express checkout duties
  • verify departure dates and offer to make future reservations
  • post telephone charges, valet charges, and other miscellaneous charges to guest accounts
  • administer guest payment policies
  • manage shift cash transactions
  • maintain hotel key security system
  • administer guest safe deposit boxes
  • know hotel emergency procedures
  • coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests
  • communicate facilities and services to guests at check-in
  • answer guest questions regarding local area facilities
  • notify Housekeeping and Maintenance of any reported problems
  • carry out reasonable requests by management
