Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in hospitality preferred
  • experience in front desk or customer service roles preferred
  • accounting experience preferred
  • ability to stand and move for up to four hours continuously
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull carts up to 250 lbs
  • good communication skills
  • basic computer knowledge
  • ability to work varied schedules including night shifts
  • adherence to grooming standards
  • regular attendance and punctuality
  • ability to follow safety and security procedures
  • ability to operate office equipment like computers, printers, multi-line phones, and fax machines
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in hospitality preferred
  • experience in front desk or customer service roles preferred
  • accounting experience preferred
  • good communication skills both verbal and written
  • proficiency with Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, key systems, and POS
  • excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • strong detail orientation and organizational skills
  • basic computer and computational abilities
  • ability to handle guest interactions with patience and diplomacy
  • self-driven and able to work independently
  • strong analytical and issue resolution skills

Job Duties

  • Act as the manager on duty during night-time hours
  • greet and welcome guests upon arrival and handle registration and checkout
  • accept and process payments including cash, checks, and credit transactions
  • maintain a house bank, balance cash drawer, and make accurate deposits
  • acknowledge rewards members and returning guests
  • manage guest bookings and up-selling opportunities
  • perform daily audit procedures and complete detailed financial and operational reports
  • prepare the front office for the morning shift
  • maintain nightly reports to inform management of overnight activities
  • operate PBX and handle communications
  • ensure timely and proper wake-up calls to guests
  • assist and direct guests or emergency personnel as needed
  • post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone
  • make reservations for restaurants, transportation, or entertainment
  • review arrival reports and ensure proper room assignments and billing
  • attend scheduled trainings and meetings
  • ensure awareness of promotions, VIPs, events, and special requests
  • practice safe work habits and adhere to privacy and security policies
  • answer guest inquiries about hotel policies and local attractions
  • maintain lobby cleanliness and organization
  • assist with mail, packages, and guest items
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
