Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • relevant experience in hospitality or front desk operations preferred
  • strong numerical and computational ability
  • familiarity with hotel management software and office equipment
  • ability to stand for up to four hours and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 45 lbs
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work night shifts
  • adherence to grooming and attendance standards
  • capability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • knowledge of safety, privacy, and security protocols
  • outstanding organizational skills
  • capability to multitask and manage emergencies effectively

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in the hospitality industry preferred
  • experience in front desk or customer service role preferred
  • accounting experience preferred
  • good communication skills verbal, written and electronic
  • basic computer skills including Windows OS and MS Office
  • knowledge of PMS, PBX, key system and POS
  • strong leadership and customer relations skills
  • detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work independently
  • good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • ability to deal with customer conflicts and collect accurate information for resolution

Job Duties

  • Act as manager on duty during night-time hours
  • greet and welcome guests upon arrival
  • perform guest registration and checkout procedures
  • accept payment for guest accounts at registration and checkout
  • maintain a house bank, make deposits and accurate daily reports
  • cash checks and exchange currency for guests
  • accurately handle cash transactions and balance cash drawer
  • acknowledge rewards members and returning guests
  • take and manage guest bookings and up-selling opportunities
  • handle guest inquiries and requests courteously and professionally
  • perform all audit procedures daily as set forth by the hotel and company
  • complete daily, comp, pace, and other assigned reports
  • balance all cash receipts during the audit shift and make deposits
  • prepare the front office for the AM shift
  • maintain nightly reports to inform day management of overnight activities
  • operate PBX and transmit/receive messages
  • ensure timely wake up calls using guest names
  • assist or direct guests and emergency personnel in emergencies
  • post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone
  • make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations
  • review arrival reports and ensure special requests and VIPs are noted
  • attend all scheduled trainings and meetings
  • ensure awareness of special promotions and in-house group activities
  • practice safe work habits and ensure privacy and security protocols
  • answer inquiries about hotel policies and local attractions
  • maintain hotel knowledge and lobby cleanliness
  • assist in booking reservations
  • handle mail, packages, facsimiles, and guest items
  • perform other duties as assigned
