Job Requirements

  • Possess a valid state commercial driver’s license CDL with a class A endorsement
  • Possess a HazMat endorsement on CDL
  • Meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening
  • One year of general experience operating large vehicles
  • Ability to safely operate tractor trailers or combination vehicles
  • Willingness to work full-time schedule
  • Ability to handle physical effort related to driving and loading cargo
  • Comply with all safety and regulatory standards

Job Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver’s license CDL with class A endorsement
  • HazMat endorsement on CDL permitting transport of hazardous materials
  • Meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening
  • One year of experience operating large vehicles
  • Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Knowledge of safe cargo loading and securing practices

Job Duties

  • Drive vehicles primarily for transporting supplies and materials to and from NHG properties
  • Pick up freight from commercial firms en route using public roads and highways
  • Operate trucks or truck tractors with trailer or semitrailer coupled by means of turntable, fifth wheel, pintle pivot hook, or tandem rig
  • Load and unload vehicle, ensure cargo is properly located, distributed for even weight, and secured, avoid overloading
  • Sign for and obtain receipts for cargo, note over, short or damaged merchandise
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection reports and perform preventive maintenance on assigned vehicles
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
