Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- no previous experience required
- ability to perform moderate physical effort including moving furniture and using lightweight powered equipment
- willingness to obtain housekeeping certification within 6 months
- ability to follow safety and security protocols
- valid state driver’s license may be required for travel
- availability for part-time hours ranging from 20 to 34.5 hours per week

Job Duties
- cleans guest rooms and other assigned areas
- operates cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaner carpet cleaner waxer and polisher
- empties wastebaskets dusts waxes and polishes room furniture
- washes walls partitions air vents disinfects and deodorizes bathroom fixtures
- washes and replaces window treatments and cleans ceiling fixtures
- changes light bulbs and room partitions using ladders and scaffolds
- moves furniture to clean under and behind
- cleans bathroom and kitchen areas including appliances and surfaces
- washes and disinfects dishes utensils and cookware
- cleans ironing equipment and ensures proper functionality of luggage racks and hangers
- ensures TVs phones and alarm clocks are clean and properly programmed
- places proper number of amenities in rooms including consumables and non-consumables
- removes and replaces bed linen inspects mattresses and pull-out sofas
- greets and welcomes guests maintaining outstanding guest relations
- ensures privacy and security of guests
- cleans and maintains corridors stairways guest laundry patios and balconies
- performs scheduled deep cleaning and carpet shampooing
- maintains cleanliness and order of storage rooms
- communicates status of rooms and spaces to supervisor
- accomplishes minor repairs and reports major repair needs
- cleans and inspects exterior spaces
- assists with loading unloading and receipt of supplies
- is responsible for pass key and other assigned keys
- reports unusual circumstances and lost and found items
- supports setup and breakdown of breakfast bar and handles food safety
- completes all required safety and security training
- maintains clean and safe environment following safety protocols
- performs laundry operations
- may travel to other lodging facilities
- may obtain housekeeping certification within 6 months
