Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • fluency in English
  • excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • two years' plus experience in news operations and production
  • knowledge of Ross OverDrive and Xpression
  • knowledge of AP ENPS, Ross robotic cameras, Adobe Premiere is a plus
  • proficiency with broadcast control equipment
  • ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Coordinates the technical operation of the studio during newscasts and other productions
  • observes video/graphics through monitors, verifies quality and accuracy real time
  • acts as a liaison on technical matters between the News and Engineering departments
  • works with the producers and talent to deliver a quality high energy newscast
  • switches video sources and gives direction at the same time during live broadcasts
  • adjusts robotic cameras, graphics engines, and audio console when needed
  • tests equipment to ensure proper operation
  • performs other duties as assigned
