Job Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- RN license
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Availability for full-time schedule of 36 or 72 hours per week
- Commitment to work within union guidelines
- Willingness to participate in a 4-6 month novice nurse program
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) preferred
- Knowledge of ANA standards of psychiatric and mental health nursing
- Ability to coordinate emergency care effectively
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to ethical nursing practice
Job Duties
- Provide direct patient care according to ANA standards of psychiatric and mental health nursing
- Participate in treatment planning and coordinate management of medical and nursing care
- Assist in discharge planning for patients
- Coordinate psychiatric and medical emergencies ensuring proper care and patient safety
- Participate as an active team member assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and the RI Nurse Practice Act
- Support and mentor new nurses as part of professional development
