Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- able to stand and walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- must have hand use capabilities including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- able to perform motions including bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
- exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
- able to work in temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), between 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- able to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Assist with production for all Prepared Foods venues
- ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
- ensure product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
- document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
- ensure product production uses correct measuring devices and recipes are followed
- help customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and conventional store products
- keep walk-ins and freezers clean and well-organized
- arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed and dressed
- work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings
- provide excellent customer service and address customer needs timely
- model suggestive selling techniques
- answer phones and pages promptly and courteously
- maximize sales potential through effective prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- follow and comply with health and sanitation standards, weights and measures, and safe work practices
- maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
- immediately report safety hazards and violations
