Job Requirements

  • Minimum age 18
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary certification or equivalent combination of culinary training and experience
  • one or more years of experience in commercial foodservice
  • experience in food preparation and equipment
  • ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
  • ability to work extended hours or rotating schedules
  • ability to safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts
  • physical capability to reach, grasp, stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, pivot, twist, push, pull, pinch, perform fine motor movements, and shoulder circumduction
  • ability to lift up to 80 lbs and manage heavier items with a team lift
  • willingness to maintain food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary certification or equivalent culinary training
  • one or more years of experience in commercial foodservice
  • experience in food preparation and equipment use
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to read and write
  • technology skills related to kitchen operations
  • planning and organizing skills
  • culinary math skills for recipe conversion
  • ability to execute high-volume food production

Job Duties

  • Cut, slice, dice, chop food for recipe preparation
  • prep ingredients according to recipe specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • prepackage condiments such as sauces and dressings for prepared food items
  • complete tasks at assigned work station
  • assist in multiple cooking venues and with catering orders as needed
  • master recipe preparation including daily production adjustments
  • prepare, package, and plate fresh product
  • perform other duties as assigned
