Job Duties
- Represent MMC in a courteous and professional manner
- Greet guests and incoming phone calls in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner
- Take accurate messages which include all required information
- Process voicemails
- Be at your workstation on time and prepared to start the day
- Read and respond to email communications frequently
- Be flexible when asked to stay past scheduled work time to meet patient needs
- Prepare and process fee tickets, patient forms, and related documents for appointments
- Collect co-payments, deductibles, co-insurance, or other patient responsible balances
- Schedule appointments and required testing, labs, or specialist referrals
- Prepare daily deposit and maintain cash bag
- Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information from patients to ensure accurate billing
- Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate patient service
- Meet or exceed patient, doctor, and staff expectations through teamwork
- Keep work area and clinic clean
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines
- Follow all MMC policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned with instruction
