Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Previous experience in bartending or hospitality preferred
  • Knowledge of liquor types, drink recipes, and glassware
  • Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems
  • Good communication skills
  • Must complete liquor liability training within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Efficiently maintain bar supplies, including preparation of daily requisition as necessary
  • Be completely familiar with all kinds of liquor, recipes and prices of drinks, proper glassware used for each recipe, and garnishes needed
  • Know drink recipes, prices, and types of beverages available
  • Be familiar with accurate cash handling procedures including proper discounting, MICROS system and bank procedures, and tip policies
  • Accurately charge guests for drinks and manage intake of all monies
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly, maintaining positive guest relations
  • Resolve guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Be formally trained regarding liquor liability within 30 days of employment and every 2 years thereafter
