Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age and comfortable serving alcohol
- 2+ years of experience as a server or waitstaff in a high-end restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of wine
- Sommelier certification preferred
- Familiarity with Forbes standards considered a plus
- Knowledge of fine dining food and wine pairings
- Excellent guest service skills
- Poised and professional communication
- Strong verbal and non-verbal communication abilities
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience working as a server or waitstaff in a high-end restaurant
- Extensive wine knowledge, sommelier preferred
- Knowledgeable of food and wine pairings and service techniques used in fine dining
- Excellent guest service skills
- Poised and professional demeanor, avoiding casual language
- Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak articulately and clearly with good eye contact
Job Duties
- Serve 4-6 table stations, including taking food orders, entering orders into the POS system, delivering food to tables, and following up with guest service and needs until meals are complete and the guest leaves
- Serve food and beverage to guests at proper temperature
- Share knowledge of wines and spirits with guests
- Anticipate guest needs and act accordingly
- Work with kitchen and restaurant equipment including coffee brewers, juice and soda fountains, and toasters
- Handle kitchen supplies such as trays, carafes, coffee pots, plates, silverware, and glassware
- Practice proper sanitation procedures and maintain cleanliness of side stations
- Complete assigned side work including polishing silverware, folding and rolling napkins, filling condiment caddies, cleaning beverage side station, and preparing fruit garnishes
- May combine serving food with small amounts of food preparation
- May serve as a cocktail server
- Assist guests with directions, entertainment information, and show event schedules
