This position is located within the Food and Beverage Division of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department under the Navy Region Southwest. The Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for Navy personnel and their families by providing a variety of support services and recreational activities. - Ability to follow food safety and handling protocols
- Strong customer service and communication skills

- Ability to identify intoxicated patrons
Job Qualifications
- Skill to serve beverages and meals in the proper manner and sequence
- Knowledge of proper food handling techniques
- Knowledge of menu compositions including American and foreign items
- Familiarity with beverage and wine pairings and their service conditions
- Skill in proper table setting
- Ability to perform simple math calculations for billing
- Ability to recognize intoxicated patrons while serving alcohol
Job Duties
- Serve beverages and meals in the proper manner and sequence
- Apply proper food handling techniques such as correct sides to serve or remove dishes from
- Demonstrate knowledge of the menu items including American and foreign foods
- Recommend appropriate beverage and wine pairings including serving temperatures
- Set tables using proper table setting techniques
- Calculate and tabulate guest checks accurately
- Monitor and recognize intoxicated patrons during alcohol service
