Job Requirements
- no positive education requirement
- ability to manage multiple simultaneous food preparation activities
- experience in supervision of food service personnel
- knowledge of sanitation and hygiene standards
- ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in food service areas
- strong organizational and coordination skills
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- training from a culinary institute preferred
- knowledge of planning, scheduling, and coordinating food service operations
- understanding of prices, dietetics, food grades, and meal planning
- ability to recommend corrective action
- skill in applying new food management methods
- knowledge of cooking, baking, and serving food in large quantities
- ability to supervise and train kitchen personnel
- knowledge of cleanliness and sanitation inspection
- aptitude in preparing records and reports
Job Duties
- assist the chef in planning food preparation
- supervise food preparation and cooking activities
- coordinate operations across multiple food facilities
- oversee preparation of large quantities of meals for scheduled events
- ensure compliance with cleanliness and sanitation standards
