Job Requirements

  • Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and complete background investigation
  • Must pass E-Verify employment verification check
  • Ability to perform moderate physical labor including standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling, and climbing
  • Able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 45 pounds unassisted
  • Assisted lifting of weights over 45 pounds may be required
  • Must be capable of climbing stairs and using stepladders
  • Commitment to maintaining a drug-free work environment
  • Must be available to work under ALPHA personnel designation during inclement weather or national security situations

Job Qualifications

  • Able to apply general knowledge of cleaning procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment and approved chemicals (including MSDS)
  • Adherence to basic safety policies is required
  • Effective communication skills
  • Positive and welcoming attitude
  • Skilled in customer service and complaint handling
  • Experience with housekeeping in hospitality or similar industry preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure security of all guests is maintained at all times
  • Ensure guest privacy is maintained at all times
  • Possess a welcoming manner and positive attitude
  • demonstrate effective communication skills
  • professionally interact with guests
  • answer guest questions concerning hotel facilities
  • provide information about local attractions
  • provide assistance handling customer complaints, involving management as necessary
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties including dusting/polishing furniture
  • trash removal
  • vacuuming and/or sweeping floors
  • cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and kitchen areas
  • making beds and changing bedding
  • restock amenities, linens, and guest supplies
  • check condition of room assets and report problems
  • respond to guest requests
  • Complete all cleaning duties upon guest checkout and prepare room for new occupancy
  • Count and sort linen removed and issued during shifts
  • Prepare and submit linen in/out daily report to supervisor
  • Complete and submit room status reports at end of day
  • Inform supervisor of missing, malfunctioning, or damaged items
  • Perform deep cleaning including defrosting refrigerators, window cleaning, replacing or cleaning drapes, moving furniture for hidden area cleaning
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned
