Job Duties

  • Prepare food for in-house facilities and catering events
  • Apply methods and procedures for cooking limited variety of foods
  • Read and understand food service materials such as food labels and recipes
  • Perform basic arithmetic computations for ingredient quantities and servings
  • Plan and coordinate timing of meal preparation
  • Monitor characteristics of foods including color, flavor, consistency, texture, temperature, and cooking time
  • Ensure adherence to sanitation principles
