Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, public relations or related field
- Strong customer service skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with Board, team, residents, volunteers, and contractors
- Strong conflict resolution and excellent people skills
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to work independently and participate as part of a team
- Valid drivers license and current vehicle liability insurance
Job Duties
- Assist in the planning, promoting and executing of a comprehensive Music and Arts event and programming calendar for residents
- Help organize and execute Music and Arts events, holiday events, concerts, dances and health and education programs
- Present a professional demeanor while building relationships with residents, partners and vendors
- Assist in organizing music and art workshops, classes, and one-time events
- Support department lead with marketing materials and internal coordination
- Oversee volunteer management at events
- Manage the use of the facility for Board, Committee, and other meetings
- Coordinate scheduling, set-up, and clean-up with Maintenance, Janitorial and staff
- Serve as the go-to resource for residents in party and meeting planning by providing room scheduling and event information, as well as catering and entertainment resources
- Assist with phones, walk-ins and perform other administrative duties
