Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Tourism and Events Management or a related field and 2 years of experience in planning and coordinating special events
- or any combination of experience or training enabling one to perform essential job functions
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- self-motivated and skilled in problem solving
- computer software knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office software
- must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties
- Provide support to Facility Rentals Manager
- respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner and conduct site visits when needed
- assist Facility Rentals team with recruiting new business and maintaining satisfied clients
- assist and attend weekly meetings to make all staff aware of upcoming needs and responsibilities
- serve as liaison for the ISMHS with food service contractors, entertainment groups, rental companies, and other vendors to ensure resource availability and on-site event representation
- deliver exquisite customer service to clients and proactively anticipate their needs
- perform pre-event walk-throughs to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded
- communicate all needs ahead of time to Maintenance, Security, AV, Experiences, Housekeeping, Education/Programming, and Visitor Experiences
- ensure efficient administration of event rentals area including timely correspondence and client record maintenance
- ensure proper post-event follow-ups and client evaluations are completed as a measure of customer satisfaction
- maintain a professional appearance and behavior at all times
- work cooperatively and productively to assist the museum in achieving its overall mission
