Job Description

Job Requirements
- At least one year of teaching or interpretive experience
- Experience in outreach and/or partnership development
- Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to complete required background check
- Temporary, part-time availability through May 15, 2026
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of teaching or interpretive experience
- Demonstrated experience working in outreach or with partners
- Ability to collaborate with diverse audiences
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience in event planning is preferred
- Ability to work independently and self-initiate
- Passion for art, culture, and education
Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate Family Day events
- Develop activities based on museum collections and research
- Collaborate with museum researchers, UAF partners, culture bearers, and community organizations
- Schedule and manage volunteers
- Oversee event logistics, including floor plans and supplies
- Build and maintain relationships with partners
- Manage all aspects of event operations
