Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- CPR Basic arrhythmia certification required within six months of employment
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform moderate lifting
- Experience in ECG, nursing aide or unit clerk roles preferred
- Ability to handle stressful conditions and irregular hours
- Willingness to work with exposure to biohazards and communicable diseases
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- CPR Basic arrhythmia certification within first six months of employment
- Previous ECG experience preferred
- Experience as nurse's aide or unit clerk preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate courteously with patients and physicians
- Patience, tact, diplomacy, and persistence in interactions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and concentrate on detail
Job Duties
- Perform ECGs and match ECGs with orders
- Retrieve and edit ECGs from carts and the MUSE system
- Post EKG charges and corrections daily
- Explain procedures and provide necessary documents to patients
- Take vital signs and monitor patients
- Transport patients to and from Pre and Post Area
- Assist nursing staff with patient care duties
- Maintain schedules and appointments for efficient resource utilization
- Accept and verify reservations from physician's office
- Explain and provide information to visitors regarding procedures
- Maintain stock levels and notify coordinator of low par levels
- Perform all other tasks/responsibilities as necessary
