Job Requirements

  • Multi-unit management experience in quick service, casual dine, or full service restaurants
  • Minimum 8 years of total restaurant industry experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Comfortable working varied and rotating schedules including opening, busy, and closing shifts
  • Capability to use company tools like MIV, Crunch Time, Kronos
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local safety and health standards
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and apply policy and operational guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Documented multi-unit restaurant management experience for 3 to 5 years
  • Overall restaurant experience of 8 to 10 years
  • Graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for experience
  • Demonstrated team management and delegation skills
  • Knowledge of HMSHost policies and operational standards or ability to learn quickly
  • Proficient in reading and understanding instructions, policy documents, and menus
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with employees and leadership
  • Ability to analyze financial and operational data

Job Duties

  • Ensure all GMs and staff prepare each restaurant for next-day opening, holding GMs accountable for closing/opening checklists
  • Schedule managers to maintain leadership presence during all operating hours
  • Provide coaching and support to restaurant staff to achieve business goals
  • Conduct hiring, termination, promotion, and other associate status change decisions
  • Monitor financial and operational reports to track zone progress
  • Support recognition initiatives to motivate restaurant staff
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
  • Oversee product availability and equipment maintenance
  • Implement marketing programs as directed
  • Resolve customer and employee issues with discretion
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on operational strategy
  • Champion adoption of company policies and employee engagement behaviors
  • Monitor and maintain restaurant equipment
  • Participate in waste minimization and food donation programs
