Job Requirements

  • Must have documented multi-unit restaurant management experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years multi-unit management depending on zone size
  • Overall restaurant experience of 8-10 years
  • Ability to work varied and rotating schedules including early mornings, busy periods, and late shifts
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with restaurant teams and senior leaders
  • Must comply with all health, safety, and operational standards
  • Ability to analyze financial and operational reports
  • Experience in hiring, coaching, and staff development
  • Proficiency in restaurant technology systems

Job Qualifications

  • Documented experience managing multiple types of restaurants within a zone, including QSR, Casual Dine, and Full Service
  • Minimum of 3 years of concurrent multi-unit management experience for small zones, 5 years for large zones
  • Overall restaurant experience of 8 to 10 years
  • Graduation from Food Service Management or Culinary programs may substitute experience
  • Demonstrated team management and delegation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Knowledge of HMSHost policies and operational standards or ability to learn quickly
  • Strong communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking
  • Proficient with company tools like MIV, Crunch Time, and Kronos

Job Duties

  • Ensures all GMs and staff prepare restaurants for next day opening and execute opening and closing checklists
  • Responsible for scheduling managers and ensuring leadership presence during all operating hours
  • Provides consistent support, coaching, and encouragement to restaurant staff
  • Ensures compliance with diversity and inclusion philosophy among restaurant teams
  • Interviews candidates and makes hiring, termination, and promotion decisions
  • Holds GMs accountable for onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Reads and analyzes financial and operational reports to monitor zone progress
  • Collaborates with senior leadership on strategic decisions
  • Supports and implements employee recognition initiatives
  • Engages with Operations Controller and Director of Operations on financial controls
  • Ensures daily product orders are prepared and inventory stocked
  • Manages vendor relationships and supply chain issues
  • Oversees restaurant equipment maintenance and scheduling of repairs
  • Trains staff on company tools and promotes technology adoption
  • Maintains knowledge of brand standards and lease agreements
  • Develops strategies to increase revenue
  • Manages daily activities of zone associates
  • Resolves customer and staff issues appropriately
  • Provides ongoing feedback reflecting on individual and business goals
  • Ensures planned maintenance and addresses repair needs
  • Implements marketing programs and promotional activities
  • Maintains compliance with all sanitary, safety, and health standards
  • Trains managers and associates on wellness and safety protocols
  • Escalates loss prevention concerns to appropriate personnel
  • Works varied and rotating schedules to cover opening, busy, and closing shifts
