Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Documented experience managing QSR, casual dining, full service or similar restaurants within a zone
  • Minimum of 3 years multi-unit multi-concept management experience for small zones, 5 years for large zones
  • Underlying overall restaurant experience of 8-10 years
  • Graduation from Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for experience
  • Demonstrated team management, delegation, and issue resolution skills
  • Knowledge of HMSHost policies and operational standards or ability to acquire them
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Comfortable reading menus, brand standards, policy documents

Job Duties

  • Ensure all GMs and staff prepare restaurants for next day opening and execute closing/opening checklists
  • Schedule managers to ensure leadership presence during all operating hours
  • Demonstrate manager behaviors that foster employee engagement
  • Provide consistent support, coaching, and encouragement to restaurant staff
  • Enforce diversity and inclusion philosophy within the zone
  • Interview candidates and make hiring, termination, promotion decisions
  • Hold GMs accountable for onboarding and offboarding compliance
  • Monitor financial and operational reports and assign tasks to meet goals
  • Collaborate with senior operations leadership on strategy and communicate goals
  • Develop and implement employee recognition plans
  • Train and champion employee engagement behaviors
  • Manage purchasing decisions and loss prevention concerns
  • Ensure product availability, process invoices, and manage vendor relations
  • Ensure proficiency in company tools like MIV, Crunch Time, and Kronos
  • Monitor and maintain restaurant equipment
  • Promote waste minimization and participate in food donation programs
  • Assess skill levels and coordinate training
  • Inspire technology adoption
  • Maintain knowledge of brand standards and landlord agreements
  • Implement creative revenue-increasing strategies
  • Manage daily activities of associates within the zone
  • Resolve customer and associate issues with appropriate escalation
  • Provide feedback for individual development and business goals
  • Ensure planned maintenance is conducted
  • Implement marketing programs and comply with promotional activities
  • Maintain understanding of sanitary, safety, and health standards
  • Ensure safety standards compliance by GMs
  • Train new managers and associates in wellness protocols
  • Perform health and safety activities as specified
