Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience managing multi-unit restaurants
- 8 to 10 years overall restaurant experience
- Graduation from food service management or culinary program may substitute some experience
- Proven leadership and delegation abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
- Knowledge of food service operational standards and compliance
- Ability to adapt to a flexible and rotating work schedule
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with restaurant technology and software tools
- Commitment to upholding health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Job Qualifications
- Documented experience managing multi-unit, multi-concept restaurants
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of concurrent multi-unit management experience depending on zone size
- 8 to 10 years of overall restaurant experience
- Graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program is preferred
- Demonstrated skills in team management, delegation, and issue resolution
- Knowledge of HMSHost policies, operations, service, and quality standards
- Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate instructions and policy documents
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficient in using company tools such as MIV, Crunch Time, and Kronos
- Ability to develop and implement creative strategies to increase revenue
Job Duties
- Ensure all restaurants within the zone are clean, staffed, and open for business
- Hold General Managers accountable for executing opening and closing checklists
- Schedule managers to provide leadership coverage during operating hours
- Support and coach restaurant staff to achieve business goals
- Conduct interviews and make hiring, termination, and promotion decisions
- Monitor financial and operational reports to track progress and assign resources
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategy and communicate company vision
- Implement employee recognition programs and champion employee engagement
- Make purchasing decisions in coordination with branch leadership
- Ensure restaurant equipment is maintained and repairs are scheduled
- Manage product availability, order preparation, and vendor communications
- Train and develop associates on brand standards and operational procedures
- Manage day-to-day activities of associates and resolve operational issues
- Oversee compliance with safety, health, and sanitation standards
- Train new managers and associates on wellness protocols and COVID-19 requirements
- Implement marketing and promotional programs to drive revenue
- Monitor and minimize waste, participate in food donation programs
