Job Requirements

  • minimum 3 years multi-unit management experience with 8-10 years overall restaurant experience
  • prior experience managing diverse restaurant types including union and non-union environments
  • graduation from food service management or culinary program may substitute for some experience
  • ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • ability to read, comprehend, and communicate business documents and policies
  • flexible and varied work schedule including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • documented experience managing multiple restaurants including quick service, casual dining, and full service establishments
  • minimum 3 years multi-unit management experience with 8-10 years overall restaurant experience
  • graduation from food service management or culinary program is a plus
  • demonstrated leadership, delegation, and conflict resolution skills
  • knowledge of HMSHost policies and operational standards or ability to acquire quickly
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency with scheduling and operational management software

Job Duties

  • ensure all restaurants are prepared for daily operations including opening and closing procedures
  • schedule managers ensuring leadership presence during all hours of operation
  • support and coach restaurant staff to meet business goals
  • hold general managers accountable for associate onboarding and offboarding including compliance with training and security procedures
  • manage product availability, ordering, and vendor communications
  • monitor and maintain restaurant equipment and facilities
  • implement marketing and promotion programs as directed
  • uphold safety, health, and sanitation standards
  • collaborate with senior leadership on operational and financial strategies
  • resolve customer and associate issues and escalate as necessary
  • develop and motivate teams through recognition and engagement initiatives
